Father's Day at Happy Waves is designed around a simple idea: that fathers and their children deserve time in the pool together — unhurried, competitive, and slightly chaotic.
The day begins with a father-child relay race. Arms flailing, timing completely off, kids showing zero mercy. The dads put in their best effort; the children showed them what months of swimming lessons can do.
The format is loose enough that it never feels like a formal event, but structured enough that everyone knows what is coming next. It is, by most accounts, one of the more joyful mornings on the Happy Waves calendar.
